Radisen leads the fight against tuberculosis in the Philippines with AI technology.

공지사항
Dr. Yunju Ra, CEO of Radisen, announced that he will actively fight tuberculosis in developing countries, including the Philippines, with AI TB reading solution (AXIR-CX) developed by Radisen.

Radisen, a venture company that developed AI tuberculosis reading solutions (AXIR-CX) and X-ray devices, will join hands with the Tropical Disease Foundation (TDF), an NGO to fight tuberculosis in the Philippines. AI diagnosis and reading service will begin in early September at the One Stop Shop Tuberculous Center in the Philippines’ metropolitan area (Makati). Radisen is a medical digital X-ray company founded in 2016, currently exporting products to Vietnam, Indonesia, India and the United States, and has had four years of experience in anti-tuberculosis business in developing countries with poor video reading doctors and medical conditions.

The AI solution developed by Radisen was produced in low doses and small sizes considering Southeast Asia and Africa, including the Philippines, which has poor electrical facilities and inconvenient transportation. In particular, it utilizes embedded database (DB) without the Internet, and unlike existing AI reading solutions, radisen products learn original data, so they have excellent sensitivity and accuracy. “With the entry of AI into the Philippine medical-related AI market, we are taking a step closer to eradicating tuberculosis around the world. We will save time and money by supplying cheap X-ray devices and AI reading solutions and contribute to raising national health levels in developing countries.”

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by tuberculosis bacteria. Tuberculosis bacteria come out of the air through droplets when a contagious tuberculosis patient coughs, and when other people inhale tuberculosis bacteria such as nose and mouth, they reach the lungs. It is different from coronavirus 19, which is infected with direct contact or smear. Early detection and steady treatment are important as tuberculosis is highly contagious and slowly destroys the lungs. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 10 million new cases of tuberculosis occur every year and about 1.5 million people die annually. As of 2021, 35 countries have been designated as countries with high levels of tuberculosis by the WHO, and the Philippines is one of them.

TDF, which has been fighting tuberculosis with Radisen, is an NGO organization that has established its position in the Philippines health and welfare sector since 1984 by providing healthcare-related community services to health centers and welfare facilities in the Philippines. The TDF has participated in multinational tuberculosis-related research through a specialized tuberculosis institute called BSL-2 TB. Dr. Roberta Romro said, “Quick and quick detection, treatment, and coping with tuberculosis are the most important thing.” “We will do our best to combat tuberculosis in all parts of the Philippines using Radisen’s AI solution AXIR-CX.”
